Pietro Maximoff Pop! Figure Coming Exclusively To Funko This March

With Vision repeatedly telling her, “This is wrong,” the end of the fifth episode gave us the closest thing to Wanda realizing the error of her ways. This could have ended the situation, but it was like some extra force insisted the story go on and Vision’s disagreement be tabled for later. No matter how much Director Hayward, Monica Rambeau, or even Vision have insisted that everything is Wanda’s doing, there’s always been this feeling that something malevolent has been lurking in the background of this series. It may not be forcing her to do what she’s doing, but it’s certainly egging her on and reaping the rewards. Pop Vinyl is releasing some WandaVision Funko Pops and while there are a few black-and-white ones on the way, there are also a handful based on the Halloween costumes from the sixth episode. That includes Quicksilver, except there’s something screwy with the box.

Fans want to figure out the truth behind Evan Peters’ arrival as Pietro, who hasn’t been a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe before this. Now, the character’s newly revealed Funko Pop figure has left fans convinced that he is a fake. So, right now, Wanda doesn’t know that it’s just a different version of her twin brother. I’m sure, as the series goes on, we’ll know more and it’ll all become clear, but right now, I’m fine with not knowing. We don’t know what’s going to happen with Pietro and Wanda, and maybe the quotations do mean something bigger for the character, but I just think that they’re there because we don’t knowfor surethat he’s any Pietro—yet.

If that isn't enough, Vision attempts to escape Westview, resulting in Wanda expanding Westview and bringing Dr. Darcy Lewis and members of S.W.O.R.D. under the influence of the Hex. Sure enough, Funko unveiled new WandaVision Funko Pop figures. I’m guessing most everyone is already well aware of the amazing episode 5 ending but on the small chance you aren’t caught up with WandaVision and want to save yourself from being spoiled, here’s the obligatory spoiler warning. Of course, suspicious fans of the series don't need any convincing whatsoever as they're already pretty invested in the entire "Pietro is Mephisto" theory and if you've been paying close attention to the show, there are tons of clues to back it all up. In the end, I wouldn't be surprised if the Pietro who all of a sudden entered Wanda's pocket reality is actually someone else entirely.

Now the reveal of adding Pietro Maximoff, wasn’t entirely a surprise to some fans, but the appearance of Evan Peters definitely was. Evan Peters plays as the speedster in the 21st Century Fox X-Men Universe, which was recently acquired by Disney. What’s interesting is that Pietro’s name on the box has quotation marks around it when the others don’t. His Funko figure also doesn’t have a “Halloween” in front of the name, for some reason. Some fans believe Agatha is trying to summon or revive him in her strange little Basement of Terror. Others think she's already done so, and he took the form of Pietro to keep from rousing Wanda's suspicions.

So far, there’s been many hints that indicated this, but a new Funko figure might have nudged a lot in lending further credibility to that rumour. Remember that, at the end of episode 7, Agatha reveals herself as a witch. If Wanda Maximoff has the power to reincarnate Vision, maybe Agatha can recreate her own version of Pietro. After all, if he were the speedster he played in the X-Men movies, wouldn't the box read "Pietro" Maximoff?

Peters’ version of Pietro first appeared in Episode 5, “On a Very Special Episode…”, when Wanda opens the door to find her brother standing outside her home. While Darcy Lewis is quick to point out that Pietro has been “recast,” the following episode led fans to question his true motives. A conversation between the siblings in Episode 6, “All-New Halloween Spooktacular! ”, during their trick-or-treat walk with Wanda’s twins, raised a lot of questions about Pietro and his identity.

So does all this necessarily mean that he’s not really “Pietro”? I think he is still Pietro Maximoff and he’s from the X-Men universe we pietro maximoff funko pop knew from Fox’s movies, but I also think they’re just not trying to make it obvious that that’s the case.

With a March 2021 release, this Pop has been made for quite some time, so it is nice it's been so well hidden until now. The Pop shows off Pietro in his Quicksilver Halloween costume with water balloons and shaving cream. He will be placed in the usual running man Pop design that we have seen multiple times before with The Boys A-Train and The Flash. Funko really packed on the detail for Pietro, and he will easily be a must-have Pop for any MCU or X-Men fan.
